BenchMark/Trigger Block #

These are your goal/trigger that your user will do and you can measure these steps to change their status. For example, From your campaign emails, you can set up the benchmark as if a user clicks a link or purchase something then take a certain action. The action can be adding them into a new list add a new tag or send them a new email or sequence of emails. In this article, You will learn about the available benchmark or Trigger block available to analyze and segment your contacts based on the behavior of the users in a funnel.

Order Received in WooCommerce #

In your funnel, you can add the Order Received in WooCommerce benchmark so that you can track whether the user purchased the product from your store, and then you can take certain actions based on the purchase.

From the Benchmark tab clink on the Woocommerce benchmark and a popup will open to set up certain options.

Target Products: This will list all the available products in your store. Select your targeted product you want to track whether purchased or not from this funnel. Keep it blank to run the benchmark to any product purchase

Target Product Categories: Select your targeted product Categories to run the benchmark or keep it blank to run the benchmark to any category purchase.

Purchase Type: There are three purchase types available for the benchmark which are only first purchase, from second purchase or any purchase. If you choose the only first purchase the benchmark will be true if the user is purchasing for the first time, If you choose the benchmark will be true if the user purchases for the second time. The last one is for any purchase. So the benchmark will be true in all cases, for example, it will be true whether the user purchasing for the first time or already purchased 4-5 products from your store.

Benchmark Type: Select whether the benchmark is mandatory to run the tasks after the benchmark. If you select Essential Point the next task will run only if the benchmark becomes true which is the user purchased from your store. Now you can save this Woocommerce Benchmark and it will be added into the funnel.

New Order Success in EDD #

In your funnel, you can add the New Order Success in EDD benchmark so that you can track whether the user purchased the product from your store, and then you can take certain actions based on the purchase.

From the Benchmark tab clink on the New Order Success in EDD benchmark and a popup will open to set up certain options.

Target Products: This will list all the available products in your EDD store. Select your targeted product you want to track whether purchased or not from this funnel. Keep it blank to run the benchmark to any product purchase

Target Product Categories: Select your targeted product all the available Categories to run the benchmark or keep it blank to run the benchmark when purchase made from any EDD product category.

Purchase Type: Three purchase types are available for the benchmark. They are only first purchase, from second purchase or any purchase. You can select the “Only first purchase” and the benchmark will be true if the user is purchasing for the first time from your EDD store, Select “From Second Purchase“, and the benchmark will be true if the user purchases for the second time. The “For Any Purchase” benchmark will be true in all cases, for example, it will be true whether the user purchasing for the first time or already purchased 4-5 products from your store.

Benchmark Type: Select whether the benchmark is essential to run the tasks after the benchmark. If you select Essential Point the next action in the funnel will run only if the benchmark becomes true which is the user purchased from your store. Now you can save this EDD Benchmark and it will be added into the funnel.

List Applied #

You can use this benchmark to check whether the contacts are already added to certain lists. Based on whether the contact is in the list or not you can proceed to further actions in your Funnel.

At first, select the lists which you want to match whether the contact exists on that list. You can run the benchmark if the contact added into any of the lists or all of the selected lists. The benchmark type has two properties, essential and optional. Select if this benchmark is essential to go to the next step of the funnel or optional. If you choose it as essential the actions after this benchmark will be performed only if this benchmark is true. Now save the settings when all are set.

Tag Applied #

You can use this benchmark to check whether the contacts already has one or more specific tags. Based on whether the contact has the tags or not, you can proceed to further actions with your Funnel.

At first, select the tags which you want to match whether the contact already has tags. You can run the benchmark if the contact has any of the tags or all of the selected tags. The Benchmark Type has two properties. Select if this benchmark is essential to go to the next step of the funnel or optional. List Removed #

You can use this benchmark to check whether the contacts are removed from certain lists. Based on whether the contact is removed from the lists or not you can proceed to further actions in your Funnel.

Choose whether this benchmark is essential to go to the next step of the funnel or optional. Tag Removed #

You can use this benchmark to check whether the contacts removed from one or more specific tags. Based on whether the contact removed from tags or not, you can proceed to further actions with your Funnel.

The next step is selecting the Benchmark Type from its two properties. Select if this benchmark is Essential or Optional. Link Click Benchmark #

The Link Click Benchmark will run once a subscriber click on the provided link. From the benchmark click on the Link Click Benchmark and a Popup box will open with certain fields including Copy This Link, Redirect To, and Benchmark Type.

You might be noticed that there is no link available in the Copy This Link field. It’s because you need to save the settings once and again open the Link Click Benchmark. The URL to copy will be available to copy. Below the Copy Link, you will find Redirect To option. Enter the redirect URL so when the user will click into the provided link they will be redirected to this link. Finally, Select the Benchmark Type from its two properties. Select if this benchmark is Essential or Optional. If you choose it as essential, the actions after this benchmark will be performed only if this benchmark is true. Finally, save the settings when all are set.

Now add the link into somewhere into your email, it will be tracked and the funnel will continue or stop based on whether the user clicked into that link and your Benchmark Type settings of Link Click Benchmark.
